This site is my little safe haven on the internet - a place for me to be entirely myself and ramble about the things I love. There will never (knowingly) be any AI, ads, or doomerism here - there is enough of that on social media - but you can expect to see a lot of guinea pigs, crafts, queer joy, and chatting about my favourite media. I hope you have as much fun poking around as I did making it!!

about the site!

I've been trying to distance myself from most social media sites for quite a while now. I noticed that all of my time and energy was getting eaten up, just scrolling through repetitive content that was almost always negative or irrelevent to my interests. I was engaging less and less with my hobbies as time went on, and so (unsurprisingly) I started to feel like shit all the time.

While exploring digital minimalism I was introduced to the indie web, and this seemed like the perfect way to reclaim the parts of the internet I loved while distancing myself from the rest. I made this site unsure if I would even be able to do it (I knew nothing about coding), but to my surprise it is so much fun! I now want to keep working on it for as long as I possibly can.

As I said, my knowledge of coding is very limited, so sometimes a page might be a bit broken or funky looking. I am coding on mobile (though using desktop view, not an ideal setup) and trying to make it look and work decently on any device. Graphic credits can be found here!
